Building 2929 Entertainment's Business
Overview: 2929 Entertainment is an independent production company and part of the vertically integrated media and entertainment organization owned by Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban. The company's previous film releases have included Good Night, and Good Luck, Akeelah and the Bee, and We Own the Night.

Business Challenge: In 2008, THUNDER FACTORY was tapped to seed the release of The Life Before Her Eyes, a psychological thriller starring Uma Thurman and Evan Rachel Wood, and produced by 2929 Entertainment

Solution: Working with 2929 Entertainment and Magnolia Pictures (also a Wagner/Cuban company), we developed a unique direct marketing strategy that focused on select audience groups within major geographic markets. To support the direct mailings, we created a series of corresponding microsites which included a special extended preview of the film, interactive content, and promotional offerings.

Results: The combined direct- and Web-oriented campaigns succeeded in elevating the awareness of The Life Before Her Eyes to key markets in advance of its release. The effort also demonstrated to 2929 Entertainment the true value of integrated marketing to the company's core audience of independent film viewers.
